The course covers the topics of inflation, economic growth, unemployment, and looks at the role of Government in the New Zealand economy. The emphasis at this level is more of a national orientated approach so students gain a more real worldview of economics and its impact on society.



Entry Requirements

Although helpful, no previous knowledge of Economics is necessary for study at this level. For automatic entry to Level 2 Economics, students should have at least 14 credits at Level 1 Economics and Business Studies. Otherwise seek advice and approval from the Head of Commerce.

Pathway

This course builds on the progress made in Level 1 towards a career in Economics and many senior management roles. We strongly recommend this course for those wishing to study economics in Level 3 and/ or at tertiary level.
