This course aims to build and refine skills in Photography techniques and Photoshop. Students will also learn how to develop ideas through photo-shoots, analysis, artist models' concepts and techniques.
The main focus of the course is to strengthen skills in:
Photography
Layout design
Photoshop skills
Idea development

Entry Requirements
Students must have passed their Level 1 Folio Board external or have gained at least 14 credits in Level 1 Visual Arts or Digital Arts in order to gain entry. Students with no art background who wish to take up Year 12 Photography need to see Ms. Rubin/Ms. Becker regarding entry into this course prior to commencement.
Level 2 Photography will suit students who enjoy and have some talent in taking photos and have a good eye for composition. To be successful at this subject it would be useful if students have enthusiasm for taking photos with some skill. Students will need to be able to think creatively and imaginatively to develop ideas.
Pathway
Success in Level 2 Photography will provide students with the basic knowledge and skills that will be useful for studying Level 3 Photography. This course is also important if students want to study Photography or Film based degrees or want to make their career in a creative industry.
