PHOTOGRAPHY - YEAR 13

This course aims to continue to build and refine skills in Photography techniques and Photoshop. Students will also learn how to develop ideas through photo-shoots, analysis, artists’ models, concepts and techniques.

Students must have passed their Level 2 Photography Folio Board external or have gained at least 14 credits in Level 2 Photography or 11 DigiArt in order to gain entry.
Level 3 Photography will suit students who enjoy and have talent in taking photos. To be successful at this subject it would be useful if students have enthusiasm for Photography and experience using Photoshop or Adobe Bridge. Students will need to be able to think creatively and imaginatively to develop their ideas to a given brief.
Some photo-shoots will be done outside of class time at different locations. Students will ideally have a DSLR camera but it is not a requirement as cameras can be loaned after a contract is signed.
This course is eligible for subject endorsement.
This course is approved for University Entrance.
Total Credits Available: 22 credits.
Externally Assessed Credits: 14 credits.
Internally Assessed Credits: 8 credits.

Course Selection is confirmed at the start of 2022. You can change the courses you have selected up until the start of next year provided there are still spaces in the course you wish to change to.
Some courses may become unavailable due to the number of students taking the courses or changes in staffing.
New courses may also be introduced, in which case you will be notified and given the opportunity to select the new course.
