Course Description

NCEA LEVEL 3:   THE BUSINESS OF TOURISM VOCATIONAL PATHWAY

CODE: 13TRMVP

This course focuses on developing skills in human resource management, marketing, strategic planning, research and more. An integral part of this course is developing links with tourism industry partners. Students will visit and participate in numerous travel and tourism activities which will give them first hand experience of this exciting industry. Students go to International Travel College Auckland City Campus, Fridays 9am – 3pm.

Pathways:

Certificates and diplomas in Tourism or business. Entry level customer service roles. If combined with 3 or 4 university

approved subjects, students could pursue university degrees in tourism, hospitality management or business.
