Design and Visual Communications (Graphics) Level 3

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr E. Mc Intyre.

DESIGN & VISUAL COMMUNICATION – YEAR 13
NCEA LEVEL 3
CODE: 13DVC

This course will develop the previous success of Level 2 Design and Visual Communication and will enable students to display their creativity and ingenuity through completing a selection of challenging design briefs. These design opportunities will encourage students to explore areas that better demonstrate their skills and thinking.

These design briefs enable students to perform at merit or excellence standards at Level Three in both the internal and external achievement standards through varied and realistic problem solving involving design, drawing, modelling, presenting, testing and evaluation. This is an essential step for any student wishing to pursue this subject at tertiary level or as a possible career pathway.
