Course Description

Entry Requirements

Students must have gained at least 14 credits in Level 1 Visual Arts or Level 1 DigiArt in order to gain entry. Students with no Art background who wish to take Level 2 Photography need to see Ms Becker regarding entry into this course prior to commencement.

Level 2 Photography will suit students who enjoy taking photos and have a good eye for composition. To be successful at this subject students will need to be able to think creatively to develop their ideas and work collaboratively with the teacher to meet Achievement standard requirements.

*There will be an opportunity to do a L3 Photography assessment worth 4 credits.


PHOTOGRAPHY - Level 2

This course aims to build and refine skills in Photographic techniques and Photoshop software. Students will learn how to shoot using manual settings with a DSLR camera and develop their ideas through photo-shoots, analysis, and learning about Artist Models' concepts and techniques.

Photography Level 3

Success in Level 2 Photography will provide students with the basic knowledge and skills that will be useful for studying Level 3 Photography. This course is also important if students want to study Photography or Film based degrees or want to make their career in a creative industry.
