Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr E. Mc Intyre.

Students are encouraged to explore and experiment with Music and technology, enjoy performance and the creative process of music making, appreciate Music through responsive listening, and develop
skills to promote individual growth and fulfilment. Students taking Year 10 Music should be able to read Music and have the ability to play a musical instrument. This course incorporates integrated, holistic approaches to learning and teaching. Sharing literature, students own experiences orally, in writing, guided reading of texts, and writing in different genres. Te Reo Māori is offered as an opportunity for students to gain a deeper knowledge and understanding of our Māori Language and Culture in this modern context.
