HISTORY – YEAR 12
NCEA LEVEL 2
This course provides a study of some of the major forces which have shaped the modern world. It concentrates on an earlier period than the Year 11 course. Topics studied include the causes of the First World War, the Creation of Modern Germany and the establishment of the Nazi State, Vietnam War and the South-East Asian conflict.
14 credits in Level 1 History or English, or 14 credits from an appropriate subject at the discretion of the TIC History and/or Head of Social Sciences.
This course is eligible for subject endorsement.
Total Credits Available: 18 credits.
Externally Assessed Credits: 4 credits.
Internally Assessed Credits: 14 credits.
Course availability is dependent on numbers and staffing, and course entry will be confirmed at the beginning of 2021. Students will be required to select additional back-up courses as part of this process.
