Teacher in Charge: Mrs S. Valentine.
Entry RequirementsStrong performances in both Year 10 Mathematics and Science end-of-year examinations.
Aims:
This course will focus on interacting processes within the Earth’s systems and how they influence the surface, climate and life on earth. Students will use inquiry to explain concepts of the physical world, and develop understanding of energy in different formats.
Course Content:
The main focus of the course is to strengthen skills in:
Where can this subject take you?
Success in Level 1 PESS will support the students in taking NCEA Level Two Physics. This course will support students who are interested in limited entry courses in university like Architecture, Engineering, or Health Sciences; as well as students interested in studying Physics or Earth Space Science at university.
